Trying to reconstruct

Garald wrote something like this:

This is a beautiful, lush, tropical area. We enjoyed the sacrament meeting at the branch yesterday. (yes - we spoke) Whoever said this is an English speaking mission was wrong. They speak Malay, Indonesian, Chinese and those who do speak English are very difficult for us to understand. We spoke in English in church - we think. We laughed when Dad did his blog post, he wrote - the missionaries acted as our interupters - I think the word was supposed to be interpreters.

We've had problems with the "on the wall" air conditioner in the bedroom spewing water, a cell phone that couldn't call out and an internet that wouldn't work. Just couldn't seem to get any help or know where to go for help - frustrating. Yes... we're experiencing culture shock and adjustment issues. Finally a member who was very good with computers came and got us online. He also explained we were using the wrong access code to call on the phone, so another problem solved. After 2 very hot nights, we did get someone to fix the air conditioner. Hey...this is progress.

Dad also wanted to share the python story. When we went to get on the bus with the elders the other day - there was a big high 5 as the bus driver recognized them. They told us this was the bus they were on when there was a big bump. They stopped to see if they'd hit someone and found it was a python writhing on the street. Said it wanted to die, so they helped it. Got a bag from the bus driver, took it to a member to be cooked and then ate it. I figured I could do without that story. Also at the office mission couple's home in Singapore, they looked in the back yard and saw a cobra. Can't remember anything else else Garald said in his blog, so I'll try to add one of my own next.
