We haven't washed our car since we bought it, so you can imagine it was in great need. We pulled up to a little 'side of the road' place. 4 guys worked on it - hand washed, hand dried, interior vacuumed and all wiped down, tires blackened, etc. Cost - 9rm - which is $3.00. We gave a 6rm tip (2.00) They were thrilled. Car was really clean - then it rained, of course.

Yesterday we caught sight of this lizard running alongside the road we were on. So I tried to get a pic of a moving lizard from a moving car. If you want a better view, click on it to enlarge. The elders tell us you see these very frequently in other parts of Malaysia but not as often here in the big city area, although there are still lots of places with jungle foliage. This is the kind they love to eat here. We expected to see someone stop and pop it into their backpack for dinner. We have had it served at some of the Iban homes. Garald eats it and says it's really good. I say no thank you.
