Yes, I know - it's not exactly the beginning of August - Was wondering if it might be September before I found time to post. But here we go. Scenery can be boring to others I know, but oh well - endure if you can.
This is a view of the HK side from the ferry that we take home from work - almost every day. I love the relaxing ride and the beautiful iconic HK skyline. Sometimes if we're in a hurry, we take the bus.
Some of the ladies at our 'new friends' luncheon.
A great little Thai restaurant we visited with two other couples. It was a new adventure for us and we loved it. Took one of the little 'light' buses. 16 passengers. You just flag them down and it costs about 50 cents to ride no matter how far you go. We weren't sure where to get off, so we just watched the blue beeping circle on our google map on the Iphone and when it got close to our intended destination, we hopped off. Worked great but we're not really sure we can find it again. We'll try. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We want to go back and try some other menu choices.
We took the elevator to the 47th floor. This was one of the views. The building is actually 75 floors tall, but visitors can only go to this observation lobby, but the views were spectacular. Here you can see the church office building at the bottom of the pic - salmon colored brick. A fun look down at this 'vertical' city.

One last pic of most of the ladies at the luncheon. The 'every day branch' sisters had to leave before we could get assembled for the picture.
A lovely farewell dinner for the Nield's (DTA - director of temporal affairs) They've worked in HK for four years.
Pretty innovative all weather bicycle.
