February - just barely!

Waiting for the Chinese New Year Parade to get started. Garald and several other senior elders lined up at 4:00 am on a Saturday morning to get tickets. It was worth it. Well, I guess I can say that - I didn't do the standing in line. Elder & Sister Harrington behind us. They're family history missionaries and are leaving today - we'll miss them. 

This and the next few pictures are just part of the hoopla of Chinese New Years in Hong Kong. Pretty spectacular. 

Getting ready for a seniors dinner on the patio -top floor- of the church office building. President Gong's apartment. We learned how to make Chinese dumplings, had a wonderful 'planned pot luck' dinner, trivia game and visiting. And then the fireworks after dark. Delightful evening.

A little celebration on the sidewalk - burning incense for family who are deceased and then a feast - see the pig snout peeking out - yup - he's dinner.  

We have the responsibility of the Sunday bulletin in our branch. This is the pic we put on the front cover last Sunday. Our Relief Society Presidency in the Filipino branch. Their goodness of their lives is reflected in their faces.  

A little part of our jogging trail on the promenade. Cool, huh. Well, especially when it's not raining. 

Okay - here's a picture from our office window. It's been intriguing to watch as they tear down the building across the street from us. They don't implode - just tear down one floor at a time - building a dirt ramp for the machinery to move down.  We understand a big high rise hotel building will be going up.
