We're still not connected - DARN - N writing

We do not have internet yet in the apartment we moved into 3 weeks ago and it's very frustrating. It's Monday morning and I'm sitting in a little corner coffee shop using their free 'wi fi.' So if you have e mailed us and wonder if we're ever writing back, just know that getting on line is not easy right now - so we're just doing the basics. My mother has been in the hospital twice in the last week, so I've tried to stay in touch there. Unfortunately, our little magic jack phone that I use to call her, won't work without internet. So sometimes I call from this little shop or from McDonald's. NOT EASY to hear, and people around me give strange looks. Garald has gone this morning to pick up 3 of our branch youth to meet the bus from Singapore and go to youth conference. Unfortunately one of the youth we've been working with and was so hoping would go has texted us this morning saying he's not going. They are between terms of school here and have a 2 week break and he has to work at a little corner food shop to earn money to buy some clothes so he can go back to school when it starts. We feel very badly about that. He probably earns about $1.00 per hour if that much. But it is very needed. Hopefully we'll get 'connected' this week, but who knows. Our love to all of you. Sounds like summer has arrived and we hope it's great for everyone at home. Be back blogging sometime.... we hope!
